This workshop is a four day program that covers the entire process of installing SIPs as well as instruction on how to succeed in the business of installing SIPs. This intensive hands-on class includes time spent in the classroom, shop, and the field erecting a  SIP structure. The course is designed to increase not only your working knowledge of different manufacturers' specifications for installing SIPs, but also to demonstrate the proper means by which SIPs should be installed. Graduates of this class are recognized as members of an elite group of professionals dedicated to quality standards and their use within the industry. This course is designed to fill the tremendous need for properly trained SIP installers.

Who should attend:

Professional framers, carpenters, builders, timber framers, and current SIP installers who wish to receive continuing education. Individuals who recognize that participation in this workshop promotes quality within our industry. Participation in this program is based on acceptance.

Course requirements:

  • Meet prerequisites for acceptance
  • Bring the tools you wear on your hips
  • Work boots
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and roof work
  • Hard Hat


Students who meet the following criteria will be eligible for the designation of "Cerified Installer" 

  • Complete the SIPs 301 class and pass the written test
  • Have completed three (3) SIP installs within the past 24 months
  • Hold applicable state licenses and insurance

In addition, Certified Installers will be required to fulfill minimum yearly requirements as follows:

  • 2 referenced jobs per year
  • Maintain up to date licenses and insurance
